Lovely Larimar Larimar is a rare gemstone that is found in only one square kilometer of the world, in the bottom of an extinct volcano in the Dominican Republic.  It's a natural blue gemstone, not dyed or treated in any way, and is highly collectible.  It's mined by hand, and is good quality larimar is increasingly difficult to find.  My personal collection is growing -- I just love it! *** I am so pleased with this necklace!  It's not often that I can find chunky nuggets of larimar, and I really lucked out with these!  They are on average 15mm in size and are tumbled to a smooth finish.  There are a total of 22 piece of larimar in this necklace! The pendant is a solid silver heart, beautifully detailed, and I accented the larimar with 10mm white cultured pearls with a luminous luster.  The intricately designed Bali silver beads throughout the necklace are the perfect match to the heart pendant, and the floral S-clasp is the crowning finishing touch.
